Successful Netball Competition

23rd April started out a grey, wet day but it did not deter 10 teams competing for the prestigious Education Staffing Solutions Trophies and Cups!!! All the children who participated, thoroughly enjoyed the day, hosted at St David’s RC Primary in Pontnewydd, Cwmbran. The weather dried up in time for the remainig 5 heats and all the final games. The following schools, St David’s RC, Fairwater Juniors, Griffithstown Juniors, Brookfield Primary, George Street Primary & Garnteg Primary all helped to make the day a success, St David’s RC A team won the overall Trophy and Brookfield were Trophy runners up. Griffithstown A Team won the Cup and St David’s B team came Cup runners up. A huge thank you to the staff at St David’s RC for organising the games, umpiring and refreshments.
